ETRI 28VDC high-performance axial fans

The ETRI 28VDC range of high-performance fans is divided into several power categories.


High-Performance ETRI 28 VDC fans are increasingly replacing 400Hz fans in on-board applications, particularly in aeronautics.
Why is there such a strong demand for 28 VDC on-board equipment?
Weight is very important for these applications: the lighter the device, the easier it will be to integrate into a plane or helicopter, for obvious reasons.

28VDC has the advantage of being transformed by converters that are lighter than those transforming alternating current. Electrical devices operating at this voltage require half as much current in the wiring as at 12VDC for equivalent power. This is why the specifications for a fan to be integrated into embedded systems often specify a voltage of 28VDC.

At ETRI, we're expanding our range of high-performance 28VDC axial fans. It is now structured into several power ranges:
- With a power rating of less than 100 watts, the small 82DT (width 65mm) and 106DZ (width 67mm) axial fans deliver air flows of up to 28 l/s.
- For power ratings from 100 watts up to 200 watts, ETRI offers the 63DB, 80DT, 103DT, 137D and 200D families of axial fans, with widths ranging from 80 to 240mm. They deliver up to 273 l/s airflow.
- Axial fans 82DBM, 85DMF, 86DME, 97DB and 155DB have power ratings from 200 watts up to 660 watts. They range in width from 80 to 350mm and deliver air flows of up to 514 l/s.
- The 112DB with a width of 275mm have a power rating from 660 watts up to 1500 watts. They deliver air flows of up to 970 l/s.

We can add multiple options to our 28VDC ETRI axial fans to adapt them perfectly to your installations:
- Addition of a tachometric or alarm output to monitor fan operation
- Adaptation to a specific IP level for enhanced protection
- Definition of wire or terminal connectors
- Added protection against shock, vibration and salt spray
- Definition of electronics for speed control, to adjust airflow to requirements in real time and control power consumption
- Adaptable mounting points for full compatibility with customer interface
- Etc...
