ETRI ventilation fan tray
Optimized ventilation solution
To optimize ventilation, ETRI assembles its compact axial fans in trays form for all types of applications. A fan tray can be racked into an electrical or electronic cabinet. Its size and number of fans are determined by the available space and the equipment's need for ventilation.
The coding for an ETRI fan tray starts, for example, with R1UExxx. These letters and numbers have a specific meaning:
R: Rack (rack-mounted fan tray)
1U: rack unit, in this case 44.45 millimeters (1.75") thick
Exxx: project name
000: The code ends with 3 digits to identify the different versions of the product.
ETRI fan trays enable a large number of fans to be installed in a small space. The number of fans can be adjusted to adapt air flow to ventilation requirements, while optimizing space.
In addition to assembling several fans in a trays, ETRI also develops axial fans with specific housings to accommodate the number of fans required in a minimum of space.
The design of ETRI fan trays also optimizes equipment maintenance, as they are easy to install and uninstall. What's more, should the need arise, users can easily replace a single fan themselves, without the need for special tools, thus minimizing maintenance costs.
They are used to cool electrical and electronic cabinets, particularly in railway applications, for example to assist train control. Electrical and electronic cabinet components generate heat. This heat must be absolutely dissipated to keep the equipment in good working order and guarantee user safety. This is achieved not only through the configuration of the equipment, but also through ventilation. This must be adapted to the space available in the application to be ventilated. The ETRI fan tray is the ventilation solution that cools equipment correctly, while optimizing space requirements.
Every project is unique. Contact us for your customized ventilation solution. Our ventilation trays can be customized according to your needs, constraints, standards to be met, etc. For example, we can add status feedback indicators, adapt the supply voltage (AC, DC, EC), enable airflow control, respect the location and type of your connectors (front or rear of the tray). You can choose the appearance of the tray front panel: type of surface treatment, fixing points, handle, etc.
Our sales and design teams are at your disposal to guide you from the very first stages of your project in the choice of ventilation solutions and the development of suitable solutions.
